Domaine Collotte Marsannay Rosé
May 30th, 2026
While Marsannay might not be the first name that comes to mind when you think of Burgundy, it’s the only village-level appellation in the region allowed to bottle rosé under its own name. And in the hands of Philippe Collotte, it becomes something quietly remarkable.
Crafted from five parcels of old-vine Pinot Noir—some dating back nearly sixty years—this is a wine that speaks clearly of place. Farming is sustainable, harvests are done by hand, and the winemaking is minimal, letting the vineyard do the talking. The result? A rosé that trades in purity, finesse, and restraint.
The color is vivid orange-pink, the aromatics lifted and nuanced—red berries, tangerine, and rose petals. On the palate, it’s bone dry and silky, with notes of cherry, peach skin, and orange zest. There’s texture and energy here, but also clarity. It’s clean, classy, and undeniably Burgundian.
Whether served alongside grilled meats, charcuterie, seafood, or simply enjoyed al fresco, this bottle delivers elegance and freshness in equal measure.
Domaine Collotte might still fly under the radar, but among those who know Marsannay, it’s a name that carries serious weight. This rosé is a limited release, and has quite the following in France. We’re lucky to have an allocation—and once you taste it, you’ll understand why it rarely stays on shelves for long.
